The Consultation Process

1. Make contact to discuss the situation (no obligation)

2. Read the disclaimer and signal your agreement

3. Arrange details for the consultation

<aside> 💡 Disclaimer: I need to make clear that I’ve never met the child and/or family concerned and therefore can only comment based on the information you share with me on the phone or conference call. I’m not a clinician. My training is in social work and criminology. For a full and proper assessment of all the issues I recommend engaging a clinical psychologist or appropriate professional, preferably alongside a full time lining exercise around the child’s life to date. My comments are offered without prejudice and, though they can be recorded in the agency’s records in the normal way, they shouldn’t be quoted in reports, letters, assessments or by any means that might imply that I’ve met the child, know her/him or have wider involvement in her/his case but for the conversation/s we’ve had on the phone, conference call or in person. All advice and information is given in good faith but I cannot accept liability legal or otherwise for the content or outcomes of the advice and/or information offered whether written or verbal.
